How to easily operate Presto Zeus Ultimo 3 tensile strength tester?

The study of tensile properties and compression strength of various materials serves a crucial purpose in determining the tensile strength of materials. The tensile strength will provide valuable insights into the mechanical behaviour and performance of materials under different loading conditions.

Tensile properties, such as tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation, help to determine a material's ability to resist deformation and withstand tension forces without failure. Thus, we at Presto have designed a high-quality lab testing instrument known as Zeus Ultimo 3.0 tensile testing machine. This is one of the high-quality lab testing equipment that is used to test the different properties of the materials including breaking, tensile, and compression strength of various materials, components, and finished products.

In this article, we are going to discuss brief information about Presto tensile strength tester and how this quality testing equipment is used to perform tensile strength tests on various materials. But before let us focus on why the tensile properties of the materials should be tested. So, let us get started!

Why are the tensile properties of materials tested?

Tensile properties refer to the behaviour of materials under tension. It is important to test these properties because they determine how a material will perform under stress and strain. When a material is subjected to tensile force, it stretches until it reaches its breaking point. By testing the tensile properties of materials, engineers can determine their strength, ductility, toughness and other critical characteristics.

When the material will be subjected to tensile force, it will allow manufacturers to get a precise and exact study of its quality. The primary objective of testing the tensile strength of materials is to determine the strength of materials against tensile force.

There are different standard test methods of tensile testing that will ensure that tensile tests will be performed accurately and users will get highly accurate lab testing results.

Our different tensile test methods includes ASTM D412, ASTM D429-73, ASTM D624, ATM D638-01, ASTM D76, IS 13360-5-7, IS 3400(Part1-1987). This will ensure accuracy in test results.

Now, let us discuss brief information about Presto tensile tester Zesus Ultimo 3.0.

All about Presto tensile strength tester Zeus Ultimo 3.0

The Presto Tensile Strength Tester Zesus Ultimo 3.0 is a cutting-edge testing instrument equipped with several advanced features. It utilizes an advanced load sensor that incorporates sophisticated electronics for precise and accurate sensing of loads. The speed control of the machine is achieved through a Variable Frequency Drive automation, which can be conveniently operated using a Graphic User Interface on a PC.

The highly sensitive load sensor ensures excellent linearity and repeatability of test results. With a cross-head travel length of 800 mm, the tester allows for testing various specimens without the need for additional grips.

This testing machine is built with a rugged twin-column structure, providing stability and durability during testing operations. Safety limit switches are installed to ensure over-travel safety. The use of hardened lead screws or ball screws enables smooth and frictionless movement of the cross-head. The load cell is calibrated by NABL-approved proving rings or dynamometers, ensuring accurate and reliable measurements.

You can easily understand the tensile strength of the materials with a universal testing machine. Presto is a leading universal testing machine manufacturer of Delhi NCR. Now, let us discuss the features and technical specifications of this quality testing equipment.
