Presto Vacuum leak detection system is now available in Prima series. With HMI Touch Screen Display and fully automatic controls, one can ensure accuracy with repeatability and take data acquisition for the various tests. The Vacuum Tank is specially designed to conduct leak integrity testing of large sized packages in any of the testing mediums.
It also complies with various national and international testing standards such as ASTM D 4991-07(2015), ASTM F 2338-09(2013), ASTM D6653, ASTM D3078 and ASTM D5094.
How it works:
The Vacuum Tank (Chamber) is capable of various testing standard using both dry and wet medium. The specimen is to be placed inside the chamber in any form of medium and close the airtight sealed lid. After that using the advanced-level of technology based touchscreen display area, you can set the parameters, such as pressure, time, etc. and start the test. The test can be conducted as per any standard mentioned above including, Bubble emission test, dry chamber test, high altitude test etc.
Testing Standards (Methods):
ASTM D 4991-07(2015) – Destructive Leak integrity test by vacuum method for empty rigid containers. Leaks are detected under differential pressure conditions.
ASTM F 2338-09(2013) – Non-destructive Detection of Leaks in Packages by Vacuum Decay Method.
ASTM D6653 - Test methods for determining the effects of high altitude on packaging systems by vacuum method.
ASTM D5094 - Test methods for gross leakage of liquids from containers with threaded or lug-style closures for rigid and semi-rigid containers.
ASTM D3078 - Test Method for Determination of Leaks in Flexible Packaging by Bubble Emission.
Testing Specimen Types:
Stand-up pouches, packages with modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), rigid trays, vacuum skin packs, thermoform packages, sachets, flow wraps, form fill seal (VFFS) and reclosable packages.
