The paper and cardboard bursting tester submits the paper/strong paper-board to an increasing uniform hydraulic pressure, for this, a specimen for the test is prepared and mounted between two circular lamps. Two geared handle are used to tighten the specimen. The handles apply the increasing hydraulic pressure on left side of tester that causes the diaphragm to expand till the sample of paper or cardboard is ruptured. Unit of pressure reading is given in kg/cm2. Through a digital indicator, the force needed for a complete rupture of the paper/cardboard is measured.
