Melt Flow Index MFI

Presto's Melt Flow Index MFI is the best testing instrument which helps to measure the Melt volume rate or melt viscosity rate of the plastic granules. The device is used to accurately access and inspect the flow properties and other properties of melt flow index tester. It is the best and primary machine which is required in the testing laboratories of plastic industries. The testing machine offers highly accurate and reliable test results. To perform the test with the MFI, the granules are subjected to shear stress under appropriate temperature and weight so that the molten plastic will flow out from the capillary tube. Presto's MFI is used to measure the MFR of the various materials like plastic granules. It is widely used in polymer and plastic industry. The testing machine is designed and manufactured as per the standards that are introduced by recognized authorities to measure the properties of the plastics. The instrument comprises of a microprocessor based PID controller. The temperature of the instrument can be set between ambient to 400^oC. The resolution of the device is 0.1⁰C and has an accuracy of ±0.1⁰C. The device is equipped with the digital timer which can be pre-settable maximum up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

Many standard accessories are provided with the machine like an orifice, piston, spinner, spoon, funnel, plumb line, mirror, material charger, barrel cleaner and many more. It is a high-quality instrument which is manufactured in a heavy metal base plate for stable, long and safe life. The testing machine strictly adheres to ASTM D 1238 standard test method.
