It is influenced by the container design, resin blow molding condition, treatments during and after production and other factors that affect this property. This test procedure helps plastic manufacturers to isolate and identify the effect of the related factors on stress crack resistance of the container.

The Presto environmental stress cracking resistance tester has been made in accordance with industry standards that include ASTM D1693-15 which provides highly accurate testing results. This lab testing equipment consists of a temperature range (for silicone oil) from ambient to 250 degree Celsius whereas the temperature range (for water) will be available from ambient to 90 degrees Celsius.

This mild steel duly powder-coated lab testing instrument has been equipped with rapid heaters for uniform and homogenous heating and maintaining the temperature inside the chamber. It comes with an integral water drain system & integral water drain system along with inbuilt calibration features with reference to the master PID controller.
