PRESTO Sponsors The National Workshop On Package Testing And Quality Evaluation, Organized By Indian Institute Of Packaging, Delhi

Presto Group recently sponsored and participated in the National Workshop on Package testing and Quality Evaluation, organized by IIP, Delhi, held on 29th and 30th August 2014. Presto, the silver sponsor of the workshop worked closely with Indian Institute of Packaging and presented this workshop which was focused on deliberations from leading professionals from packaging industry and regulatory bodies. It had participation of more than 100 professionals from 65 + leading corporates across various industry segments like paper board, plastics, FMCG etc.

29th August 2014 witnessed sessions on Significance of Testing and Quality assessment of all packaging materials (paper, plastics, laminates, glass etc); Packing standards and Quality Management. The second day, 30th August 2014, was dedicated to innovation and future requirements into packaging. A special mention for the session on “Progressive trends in Packaging and Innovations in Quality Lab testing by Mr. G.D. Sharma, AVP, Sales, Presto Stantest Pvt. Ltd.”  This session was focused on the range of premium quality instruments in the area of testing paper and packaging materials, like Bursting Strength tester, Scuff Resistance tester etc. It also had a mention of customization done by Presto in the area of paper and packaging instruments.

A special interest was created in the audience towards the NDT thickness Gauge, Magnamike 8600 from Olympus, supplied in India by Presto. This is a thickness gauge which helps to measure the wall thickness of any non ferrous material. Magnamike 8600 has applications in plastics, Packaging, PET, Rubber, Glass wood and the  automotive industry.
Presto also displayed their product line and demonstrations of instruments from international brands like Olympus and XRite were organised. The crowd was attracted towards the innovative product range and teams from reputed organsations like Nestle, Godfrey Philips, Reckitt Benckiser, Varahi Plastics, Amway, Britannia Industries, Hindware, Vedic Ayurveda, Weener Empire etc. visited the show.
