Understanding the Salt Spray Chamber

The Salt Spray Chamber or the Cyclic Salt Spray Chamber is an essential tool for testing the corrosion resistance of a particular material and different types of coatings. Our Salt Spray Tester creates an identical saline environment which fastens the corrosion speed resulting in an accurate evaluation of the durability and longevity of the sample. 

Physical Components of a Salt Spray Chamber:

Chamber: It is the main wide space where the samples are placed for testing. The chamber is protected by a cover which is automatically closed by the air pressure. It contains a Teflon temperature tester which ensures correct temperature throughout the process. 

Spray Nozzle: It distributes the salt solution in the form of a mist, creating the ideal atmosphere for the testing. This nozzle is made of Igus which is a German imported rubber compound, for the longevity of the nozzle.

Silicone Bag Heaters: The heaters are uniformly placed in the body(made of a fibre-reinforced polymer) of the chamber which ensures optimized temperature for testing. 

Control Panel: The control panel consists of an HMI screen which allows you to manage the testing settings digitally and some important components like an alert alarm, emergency stop etc. This allows the operator to set and monitor the procedure easily. 

Working Principle
