Presto offers B C tester for corrugated box compression testing to determine the performance of the corrugated boxes. The test is specifically performed to test the quality of the corrugated boxes, paper boards, cartons, paper cases, beehive crates and many more. The load and bend analysis procedure are used for easy comparison of quality of fiber boards, cartons, and closures with the standard specimen. This testing is crucial for the manufacturers of corrugated boxes and the paper and packaging industries to test the strength of the boxes. The test can be performed using digital model and digital cum computerized model. Presto designs the B C tester especially to calculate the load range a box, or a carton can tolerate till complete failure.

The corrugated boxes are placed one above the other at the time of transportation causing compression of the boxes. The testing procedure determines the quality and compressive strength of the boxes and ensures the safety of the products that are stored in the boxes. Several factors are essential to determine the compression strength of a box such as size and dimension, storage techniques (like climate, environment), material properties (including stiffness and compression strength). Low quality of corrugated boxes can cause harm to the product kept inside, and the customer can contact the supplier to repair or replace the products. Use of prior testing procedures assures the best strength and quality of products before manufacturing and saves from cost-effective processes.

During corrugated box compression testing, a test specimen of the corrugated box is placed between two parallel plates and maximum pressure is applied until the test sample collapse completely. Digital panel is used to set the standard time period and compression strength to compress the test specimen.

Since the instrument is designed on a heavy metal base plate, autumn gray and blue color painting is used for a smart look. The corrosion resistant finish is provided with intense zinc plating. The device is provided with an instruction manual, calibration certificate traceable to NABL approved labs plus an electrical wiring diagram.
